A crew from Carvers participated in The Great Food Truck race over the last nine weeks hosted by Tyler Florence. The team was selected for this popular reality show over hundreds of entries and was equipped with a food truck, a chase car and all of the ingredients for the “Summer Beach Battle” that took place in several popular Florida destinations. The crew included head chef Drew Ballard, Jess Sara a Carvers guest favorite server and Travis Day, one of Dayton’s award winning bar tenders who competed for eight of the nine weeks on the Sunday evening show. Although they stayed in the race for eight weeks with one official week win and one unofficial week win, they came up short on the grand prize. We are all proud of the way they represented the Dayton area and Carvers in this nationally televised show. It was a great experience and sparked the teams dreams of owning a food truck in the future.
