Carvers Passport Fine Wine and Spirits Diageo Dinner Experience

Similar to Carvers popular wine pairing dinners, the restaurant is launching its Cocktail Pairing Dinners that match a special menu with the finest in Scotch, Bourbon, Whiskey or Cognac in a family style dining experience. Come sip your favorite libations, savor Carvers award winning menu and meet some new friends. Mingle with the Diageo North America guest speaker Kate Reidel and learn more about where their products come from, how they are made and what makes up their unique flavor.

Featured Spirits Profile: Diageo plc is a British multinational alcoholic beverages company, with its headquarters in London, England. It was the world’s largest distiller until being overtaken by China’s Kweichow Moutai on 9 April 2017. It is also a major producer of beer. Diageo’s brands include Smirnoff (the world’s best-selling vodka), Johnnie Walker (the world’s best-selling blended Scotch whisky), Baileys (the world’s best-selling liqueur), and Guinness (the world’s best-selling stout). Carvers Honors Veterans Day

Sunday evening, November 11th and Monday evening, 12th – Celebrate “Veterans Day” at Carvers with special discounts, food and drinks

Veterans Day marks the anniversary of the end of World War I; major hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. Veterans Day is not to be confused with Memorial Day, a U.S. public holiday in May; Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans, while Memorial Day honors those who died while in military service. It is also not to be confused with Armed Forces Day, a minor U.S. remembrance that also occurs in May, which specifically honors those currently serving in the U.S. military.

Carvers Wins Third “People’s Choice” Battle of the Bartender’s Award

In February, the Carvers lounge crew and chefs participated in the fourth annual “Battle of the Bartenders” and won the “Peoples Choice Award” for the third year in a row. The Buckeye Vodka Battle of the Bartenders event, now in its fourth year, has continued to gain interest from the community. Last year it sold out with more than 450 in attendance.  “We do a lot of events focusing on the restaurants in town and we have a lot of talented bartenders and I thought, ‘what about creating an event that focuses on them?’,” said Amy Zahora Miami Valley Restaurant Association Executive Director. “We still have the food aspect there, but the main focus is the bartender.” More than 14 restaurants will be on hand serving food and libations to hungry diners.  The drinks are shrouded in secrecy, but the food is being shared in advance.

Head Chef Ryan Chappa and Sues Chef Drew Ballard were featured on ‘Living Dayton” TV show for Dayton’s Restaurant Association “Restaurant Week”. We welcomed some new guests, greeted some that we had not seen in a while and were happy to see many of our regulars.

Family Christmas Celebration at Carvers

Tuesday afternoon and evening, December 24 – Special Holiday Dining Experience
Hours are from 4:00 to 9:00 on Christmas Eve

Carers will be open for reservations on Christmas Eve afternoon and evening for your special holiday dining experience with family and friends. Take a break from wrapping presents on Christmas Eve and bring the family to Christmas Eve. Once all of the gifts are open and the Christmas morning chaos subsides, start a new family tradition and join us at Carvers for a holiday lunch or dinner on the day after Christmas. 

 

Hours are from 4:00 to 9:00 on Christmas Eve

Carvers will be closed on Wednesday December 25 to let its team spend the holiday with their family
