SCORE (www.score.org) was founded by the SBA in the 1960’s to harness the skills and knowledge of retiring business executives to help start and grow small businesses in America. Today it is a nation wide organization of over 350 chapters and over 3000 counselors that are retired, semi-retired or still active in business on a daily basis. The Dayton Chapter has over 50 members that help small for-profit businesses and non-profit organizations in eight southwest Ohio counties. These seasoned and successful business veterans help local entrepreneurs that are dreaming of starting a new business, need to stabilize and recover a struggling business, or want to compete aggressively and grow a successful business.
